CREDAI National Investiture Ceremony 2017

The CREDAI National Investiture Ceremony 2017 took place on the 9th April, at the Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The event was called Game Changer due to all the transformation that real estate industry is witnessing and more that is in store.

The event was graced by many prominent dignitaries. The Union minister for housing, urban development and urban poverty alleviation M Venkaiah Naidu and Shankar Chaudhary Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, Medical Education, Environment and Urban Development, Gujarat were the chief guest and inaugurated the function along with Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani and deputy chief minister Nitin Patel.

The morning started with appointing the new president of CREDAI, Jaxay Shah 2017-2019. The reigning President Geetamber Anand handed over the prestigious honour to him. Jaxay Shah announced an investment of over 70,000 crores in 375+ new affordable housing projects through its member developers spread across different city chapters. He also handed over his manifesto for the tenure 2017-2019 to the honourable dignitaries that included details about CREDAI’s initiatives in the Skill development, Waste Management and the social agenda of CREDAI.

Minister, M Venkaiah Naidu also unveiled a Woman’s Wing Chapter to strengthen women’s role in the industry. He addressed the audience by saying, “Mane ahiya avine khub anand thayu che.” He appreciated the efforts of CREDAI to bring in the new and reformed India which is the dream of Narendra Modi. He defined M.O.D.I as ‘Making of Developed India’ – a mission to be joined by everyone. He stressed on development agenda and appealed each one to contribute instead of sitting on the sidelines. He assured, ‘Central Noda agencies like National Housing Banks, HUDCO and other primary institutions will extend full cooperation to CREDAI and member organizations in reaching the beneficiaries and who buy houses in the projects launched today across the country.” SBI being the national banking partner announced special financial packages for both home loans and construction finance.

Furthermore, Geetamber Anand wished the best to the new team and requested media to raise the right voice on builder’s behalf as they and customers can have an amiable relationship. He added, ‘CREDAI wants to work together with the customers to make RERA a practical document and policy.”

CREDAI formalized its commitment towards sustainability by joining hands with IGBC. They launched a rating system for green affordable housing by being energy efficient and green development. CREDAI with his skilling partner PNB Housing Finance Limited (PNBHFL) has entered into a MoU for skilling of 8000 construction workers during 2017-18.

The ceremony witnessed speakers supporting and motivating efforts of CREDAI towards PM’s mission – Housing for All 2022 and introducing a new paradigm shift and applauding their endeavours in the right direction.
