Stanza Living Spreads Its Wings To Seven New Cities

India’s largest student housing board Stanza Living has expanded to seven new cities to ensure its presence pan India

Stanza Living has started its operations in seven new cities of Hyderabad, Chennai, Coimbatore, Indore, Pune, Baroda and Dehradun as part of its pan-India expansion plan. The company has currently reached a national inventory of 22,000 beds across ten cities reporting a growth of more than 150x in 24 months. Speaking about the revenue, Stanza Living has clocked INR 20 crore revenue in FY18-19. Technology has been the prime focus of this co-living firm along with increasing the team strength across the cities.

Anindya Dutta, Co-founder of Stanza Living, said that they aim to reimagine student living for the millions of students migrating in the country with hassle-free, tech-enabled and service-led housing experience. Dutta claimed that the firm’s entry into the strategic educational hubs is a step towards building a pan-India student living brand. The main focus of StanzaLiving is to assure comfort, convenience and community experience at transparent rents. The largest student housing brand of India aims to achieve over one lakh beds by 2021.

Students in India want their rented apartments to be just like their home. But they often have to compromise on the infrastructure and service quality. Stanzaliving solves all the daily hassles like nutritiuous food, laundry, Wi Fi, professional housekeeping, tech-enabled security, and responsive feedback mechanism – in a comfortable residence space. In addition to this, there will be personal and professional well-being programmes called Stanza Social and Stanza Springboard. Such programmes are aimed at building a vibrant environment for students to live and grow together.

Stanza Living operates on the basis of a full stack model. This ensures an end-to-end management of all student residences under its operations. A comprehensive technology platform is used to deliver services like food, Wi-Fi, laundry, housekeeping, security set-up (CCTV cameras, biometric access) among others.

Stanza Resident App is another major highlight which aims to encourage feedback, suggestions and queries from students. Backed by global investors like Sequoia Capital, Accel Partners, Matrix Partners and Alteria Capital, Stanza Living has raised nearly USD 17 million (INR 115 Cr) since its inception. While the student housing is currently a $15billion industry, the firm boasts of 100 student residences across 10 cities.
