Brigade REAP Mentored Startups Win Proptech Challenge

Startups that received mentorship from Brigade REAP have won the proptech challenge hosted by NASSCOM in collaboration with CBRE  

PropVR, Qwikspec and WEGoT Utility Solutions have been declared winners of NASSCOM CBRE Disruptech 2019. All the three winners of India’s largest real estate proptech challenge are Brigade REAP mentored startups.  The winners have earned the opportunity to be mentored by CBRE.

The startups defeated 300 participants to emerge as winners in the proptech challenge. The event was held at Gurugram. This was the sixth edition of NASSCOM Annual Technology Conference held on 26th August and 27th August 2019. The entries for Disruptech were divided into four categories Real Estate FinTech; Sustainability; Agility and Efficiency and Made for India (solutions tailored specifically for the Indian market).

PropVR makes use of VR technology to build immersive experiences and save time and money. It offers cross-platform support and allows builders to use VR as a presentation tool. PropVR deals in manufacturing and trading of video projectors, interactive boards, projector screens, interactive floor systems, virtual field trip service and virtual reality kit trip services.

QwikSpec, on the other hand, is a real-time analytics platform for the real estate sector. The company was founded in the year 2015. Qwikspec is India’s first end-to-end project site management platform for the construction industry.

WEGoT Utility Solutions is a multi-channel system that will ensure that its clients don’t miss out on any information and are constantly updated. WEGoT Utility Solutions helps in efficient management of energy consumption. Startups from across the nation participated in the proptech challenge. The maximum number of nominations came from the South with 44 percent followed by the North at 25 percent.

Brigade REAP is a Real Estate Accelerator Program that mentors proptech startups to help them identify the challenges and tackle them with innovative solutions. All the three startups that won the proptech challenge were being mentored by Brigade REAP. This proves that startups which receive mentorship perform better than those which don’t. Accelerator programs like these are indeed the need of the hour. The rising proptech in India can flourish if startups take advantage of such accelerator programs.
