Akzo Nobel India’s net profit up 34% in Q2 FY20

The company’s net income was Rs 640.5 crore in Q2FY20, a dip of 11 per cent from Rs 721.8 crore it registered in the similar quarter of the last year.

Akzo Nobel India, a paints and coatings company, has reported a growth of 34% in its net profit during the second quarter of the financial year 2019-20.

Its profit after tax (PAT) stood at Rs 49.26 crore as against Rs 36.75 crore it recorded in the corresponding quarter previous year, the company said in a BSE filing.

Rajiv Rajgopal, managing director of the company said, “As we restructure our product portfolio and take actions to improve our mix, we have seen a continued positive impact on our gross margins and profitability.
