Canada: Value of building permits fell by 1.5% in October

The value of building permits were down in five provinces, with British Columbia recording the largest decrease.

The value of Canadian building permits fell by 1.5% in October from September, Statistics Canada said on Monday. 

The residential sector saw lower intentions for both the single-family and multi-family components, while the institutional component of the non-residential sector saw an increase.
